Kinetic analysis of walking on Muffik mats for children of secondary school

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo porovnat parametry zatížení kolenního, kyčelního a hlezenního kloubu při chůzi po podložkách Muffik ve srovnání s chůzí po rovné podlaze. Parametry zatížení kloubů dolních končetin byly porovnávány u žáků 2. stupně základní školy ve věku 14-15 let. Práce je rozdělená na teoretickou a praktickou část, přičemž v teoretické části se zabýváme biomechanikou chůze, ontogenezí chůze a samotnými Muffik podložkami. Praktická část popisuje průběh měření, kterého se zúčastnilo osm žáků Sportovního gymnázia Dany a Emila Zátopkových. Analýza chůze byla provedena na třech různých površích, které jsou podrobněji popsány v praktické části. Významnost rozdílů v naměřených hodnotách byla následně posouzena ve statistickém programu SPSS statistics a pomocí statistických testů. Věcnou významnost jsme posuzovali na základě škály Cohenova d, rozdíly se střední velikostí účinku ES > 0,6 byly naměřeny u devíti proměnných, nejčastěji se rozdíly se středním efektem vyskytovaly mezi druhou a třetí podmínkou, tedy mezi chůzí po fialové podložce a rovné podlaze. Věcně významný rozdíl s velkým efektem ES > 1,2 byl naměřen pouze u kloubního momentu interní rotace kolene mezi první a druhou podmínkou, tedy mezi chůzí po modré a fialové podložce.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to compare the loading parameters of the knee, hip and ankle joints when walking on Muffik pads compared to walking on a flat floor. Lower extremity joint loading parameters were compared in secondary school students aged 14-15 years. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts, and in the theoretical part we deal with the biomechanics of gait, ontogeny of gait and Muffik pads themselves. The practical part describes the course of the measurements, which eight pupils of the Sports Gymnasium of Dana and Emil Zátopek participated in. The gait analysis was performed on three different surfaces, which are described in more detail in the practical part. The significance of the differences in the measured values was subsequently assessed in the SPSS statistics program and using statistical tests. Significance was assessed on the basis of Cohen's d scale; differences with mean effect size ES > 0,6 were measured for nine variables, with the most frequent differences with mean effect size occurring between the second and third conditions, i.e., walking on a purple mat and a flat floor. A substantively significant difference with a large effect size of ES > 1,2 was measured only for knee internal rotation joint moment between the first and second condition, i.e. between walking on a blue and a purple mat.
