Factors affecting ChatGPT adoption among university students

Abstract:

This study investigates factors influencing the adoption of ChatGPT among university students. Building on existing research, it examines how perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use (moderated by technological self-efficacy), social influence, perceived enjoyment, trust, and privacy concerns affect students' intentions to use ChatGPT. Using a quantitative approach with an online survey of 136 university students, this research employs an extended Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework to analyze adoption patterns. The findings aim to contribute to understanding AI adoption in education and guide ChatGPT integration in higher education.
