Using music therapy on children with multiple disabilities

Abstract:

Cíl práce: Cílem práce je získat potřebné informace o využití ergoterapie s prvky muzikoterapie u klienta s kombinovaným postižením. Metodika: Kazuistika klienta je zpracována v této části. Na základě vstupního vyšetření byl sestaven krátkodobý ergoterapeutický plán. Intervence probíhala po dobu dvou týdnů, kdy byly zahrnuty různé koncepty terapie, které měli zlepšit klientovu kvalitu života. Na konci terapie bylo provedeno výstupní vyšetření, na jehož základě byl vytvořen dlouhodobý ergoterapeutický plán. Součástí výstupního vyšetření bylo i edukování rodiny o potřebných opatřeních. Výsledky: U klienta z důvodu diagnostikovaného angelmanova a mozečkového syndromu klienta a příliš málo času na terapie a nedošlo tak ke změně chůze, k stabilnímu stoji a lepší koordinaci při chůzi. Podařilo se ale o zlepšení stylu sedu a nácviku grafomotoriky. Závěr: Pomocí psaní této bakalářské práce byli získány nové poznatky o metodách, které se dají využít při ergoterapii a rodičům klienta byl předveden nový způsob terapie.

Abstract:

Aim: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to find useful information about using occupational therapy with elements of music therapy for client with multiple disabilities. Methodology: The client's case report is processed in the part there. Based on the initial analysis, the patient was assembled with short term occupational therapy plan. The intervention took two weeks and involved some various therapeutic concepts to improve the client's quality of life. At the end of the therapy long term occupational therapy plan was created. Part of the final examination was also the education of the family about the necessary measures. Results: Because there is not much time for therapy, there there was no change in walking, stable standing, and better walking coordination. However, we managed to improve the style of sitting and practicing graphomotorics. Conclusion: By writing this bachelor thesis, new knowledge about methods that can be used in occupational therapy was found and a new method of therapy was demonstrated to the client's parents.
