Abstract:

Má bakalářská práce si klade za cíl charakterizovat Balanchinův neoklasický balet ve prospěch klasického tance. Značná část bude věnována jeho osobnosti a taneční kariéře. Jeho tvorba je v mé práci rozdělena na evropskou a americkou a je stěžejním tématem pro pochopení jeho profesního vývoje. S jeho choreografickou tvorbou je spojena hudební složka představení, pro které si vybíral předlohy těch nejznámějších hudebních skladatelů. Na takové úzké vazby se v práci zaměřím, přičemž vytyčím jedno dílo - Who Cares?, kterému se budu po stránce choreografické, hudební i scénografické věnovat blíže. Na základě toho se pokusím určit, co mají jeho choreografie společného, pokusím se tedy o charakteristiku jeho taneční techniky ve smyslu obohacení klasického tance. Proto porovnám neoklasický tanec s ruskou klasickou technikou. V neposlední řadě nesmím opomenout ani divácké reakce na jeho dílo. V závěru se zamyslím nad otázkou inovace klasického baletu a vyzdvihnu jeho umělecký odkaz pro nové generace.

Abstract:

My bachelor's thesis aims to characterize Balanchine's neoclassical ballet in favor of classical ballet. A significant part will be devoted to his personality and dance career. In my thesis, his work is divided into European and American and it is a key topic for understanding his professional development. His choreographic work is connected to music component of the performance, for which he chose works by the most famous composers. I will focus on such connections in my thesis, while I will highlight one choreography - Who Cares?, which I will pay more attention to in terms of choreography, music and scenography. Based on this, I will try to determine what his choreographies have in common, i.e. I will try to characterize his dance technique in the sense of enriching classical dance. Therefore, I will compare neoclassical dance with Russian classical technique. Last but not least, I cannot forget the audience's reactions to his work. In the end, I will reflect on the question of the innovation of classical ballet and highlight his artistic legacy for new generations.
