Nodal Center and Periphery of the District Chomutov

Abstract:

Přirozenou strukturu naprosté většiny regionů tvoří jedno, ale někdy i více sídel, která jsou spádovými centry pro ostatní obce a plní pro ně celou řadu služeb. Lze tedy v regionu odlišit tzv. nodální centrum a periférii. V prvé řadě se jedná o centra, která plní úkoly veřejné správy. Jsou to obce s rozšířenou působností, obce s pověřenými úřady a matrikou. Služeb, které je však nutno zajistit přibývá. Z malých obcí zmizely školy, zdravotní střediska a často i obchody. Typické je i dojíždění za prací. Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na nodální centra a periferie v okrese Chomutov. Tento okres je velice různorodý – tvoří ho centrální hnědouhelná pánev, horská oblast a zemědělská periferie, proto stanovení nodálních center není jednoduché a jednoznačné.

Abstract:

The natural structure of the vast majority of regions form one, but sometimes more settlements, which are catchment centers for other municipalities and fulfills them a whole range of services. It can therefore be distinguished in the region called nodal center and periphery. Firstly, it is a center that performs public administrativ tasks. These are municipalities with extended powers, municipalities with delegated authorities and registry. Services that must be ensured, however, is increasing. From small villages disappeared schools, health centers and often trades. Typical is commuting. This thesis is focused on the nodal center and periphery in Chomutov. This district is very diverse – it consists of a central brown coal basin, mountain agriculture and peripherals, therefore determining the nodal center is not simple and unambiguous.
