Men on the Line. Border Guard in the Czech Feature Cinema During Normalization
Abstract:
Text se zabývá filmovým zobrazením Pohraniční stráže v československém hraném filmu v období normalizace. Prostřednictvím analýzy reflexe filmů s pohraniční tematikou v dobových médiích a výzkumem historických pramenů odhaluje tato práce postavení pohraničnického filmu v tehdejší domácí kinematografii a jeho společenskou roli.
Abstract:
This text focuses on a presence of the Boarder Guard members in the Czechoslovak feature film during Normailzation (specifically in the years 1971-1979). By analysis of reflection of these movies in newspapers and magazines of that time and analysis of historical documents this work shows how Boarder Guard films worked in the Czechoslovak cinema and what was their social role.
