Transformation of business processes into executable processes

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá transformací modelu business systému vytvořeného dle metodiky MMABP do spustitelných aplikačních procesů. Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je ověřit stávající přístup k transformaci modelu business systému a na základě tohoto ověření vhodně rozšířit nynější způsob transformace modelu business systému. Stávající způsob transformace vychází z modelu business systému vytvořeného dle metodiky MMABP, který je dále transformován do technologického modelu, na základě kterého je následně provedena implementace v nástroji Team Assistant od společnosti Neit Consulting, s. r. o. V první části diplomové práce je popsán současný stav poznání pomocí komentované rešerše. Dále jsou organizace, business procesy a jejich modelování a automatizace zasazeny do kontextu diplomové práce. Součástí jsou i metodika MMABP, která je použita pro modelování business procesů včetně popisu jednotlivých diagramů. Na závěr této části je popsán současný přístup k transformaci modelu business systému vytvořeného dle metodiky MMABP do spustitelných aplikačních procesů, který ve své práci navrhuje Pavelčák. Aby bylo možné naplnit stanovený cíl je v druhé části diplomové práce vytvořen model business systému z oblasti incident managementu s využitím metodiky MMABP. Tento model je dále transformován do technologického modelu dle stávajícího přístupu a to včetně popisu jednotlivých kroků. Poté je tento model implementován a jsou zdokumentovány všechny dílčí kroky transformace. V závěru této části je provedeno ověření postupu s konkrétními návrhy na jeho rozšíření. Toto rozšíření je poté detailně zapracováno do současného způsobu transformace. Upravený postup transformace modelu business systému do spustitelných aplikačních procesů je možné následovat krok po kroku při implementaci procesů v nástroji Team Assistant.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis deals with the transformation of business processes created according to the MMABP methodology into executable application processes. The main goal of the thesis is to verify the current approach to the transformation of the business system model and based on this verification to appropriately expand the current procedure of transforming the business system model. The existing method of transformation is based on the business system model created according to the MMABP methodology that is futher transformed into a technological model, which is subsequently implemented in the Team Assistant tool developed by Neit Consulting, s.r.o. In the first part of the thesis, the current state of knowledge is described using annotated research. Furthermore, organizations, business processes and their modeling and automation are placed in the context of the thesis. The MMABP methodology, which is used for modeling business processes, including the description of individual diagrams, is also included. At the end of this section, the current approach to the transformation of the business system model created according to the MMABP methodology into executable application processes proposed in Pavelčák’s thesis is described. In order to fulfill the set goal in the second part of the diploma thesis a business system model from the area of incident management is created using the MMABP methodology. This model is further transformed into a technological model according to the existing approach, including a description of the individual steps. Then this model is implemented and all sub-steps of the transformation are documented. At the end of this section a verification of the procedure is carried out with concrete proposals for its extension. This extension is incorporated in detail into the current transformation method afterwards. The modified process of transforming the business system model into executable application processes can be followed step by step when implementing processes in the Team Assistant tool.
