Abstract:
Větší část práce se věnuje zmínkám u antických historiků a geografů. Důležitá je kompara-ce, ať už srovnání mezi jednotlivými zmínkami či hledání rozdílů popisu Amazonek staro-věkými a středověkými autory. V některých případech může jít o sarmatské či jiné žen-ské bojovnice, které byly za Amazonky považovány. Mytologie je nezbytná pro co nejupřímnější zobrazení reality. Abstract:
The greater part of the work is dedicated to mentions of ancient historians and ge-ographers. Comparison is important, so my main task is a comparison between indi-vidual mentions or a search for differences in the description of the Amazons in an-cient and medieval sources.
