The thesis deals with artworks made after the Second World War using the sgraffito technique in the area nowadays defined as Olomouc Region. Through several selected artists and craftsmen, it attempts to understand the enduring popularity of this medium, especially in rural areas, even after the end of its heyday in the 1950s.
