Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Životní situace nevidomých žen s dětmi“ analyzuje životní situaci nevidomých matek, které buď o zrak přišly již v průběhu těhotenství, nebo nevidomých matek, které se i přes svůj handicap ztráty zraku rozhodly mít děti a poskytují jim péči. Práce se zaměřuje na to, co a jak brání a napomáhá těmto nevidomým ženám – které se musely nejen postarat samy o sebe, ale i o své děti – v naplňování rodičovské role. Jaká očekávání okolí musí splnit, jaké reálné podpory se jim dostává a co pro ně mateřství znamená. Hledá a popisuje nerovnováhy, které v jejich životní situaci vznikají. Práce se snaží porozumět specifičnosti životní situace nevidomých matek s ohledem na naplnění rodičovské role. První část práce se zaměřuje na definici životní situace, její rozbor s popisem nerovnováh, které vznikají mezi očekáváním a podporou okolí, její vztah k mateřství, mateřské roli a ztrátě zraku. Druhá část popisuje metodiku výzkumu a třetí část práce analyzuje hloubkové rozhovory s šesti nevidomými matkami, které byly realizovány způsobem polootevřených otázek a narativního vyprávění. Nevidomým ženám napomáhá v naplňování jejich rodičovské role podpora partnera, otevřená komunikace, blízkost vztahů s dětmi, oboustranná důvěra a určení vlastních možností, hranic a limitů. Naopak v naplňování rodičovské role jim brání podceňování ze strany okolí, nevhodné reakce a předsudečné chování. Chybí jim zejména informace o tom, jaké jsou jejich možnosti a kde tyto informace nalézt. V této oblasti existuje dostatečný prostor pro intervenci sociální práce.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis "Living situation of blind women with children" analyses the life situation of blind mothers who have lost sight during their pregnancy or the situation of blind mothers, who, despite their handicap of a vision loss, have decided to have children and provide them an adequate care. The work focuses on what and how defends and help these blind women – who not only had to care for themselves but also for their children – in fulfilling the parental role. What expectations of their environment they have to meet, what is the real support they have received and what maternity means to them. The thesis finds and describes imbalances that arise in the life situation of these mothers. Thesis tries to understand uniqueness of live situation of blind mothers with regard to fulfilling their parental role. The first part of the thesis focuses on the definition of life situation and its analysis with a description of the imbalances that arise between the expectations and the support from the environment, its relation to the motherhood, to the maternal role and to the loss of vision. The second part describes the methodology of research and the third part analyses the in-depth interviews with blind mothers who have been implemented in a way of semi-open questions and narrative storytelling. The support of partner, open communication, close relations with children, and determination of their own abilities, borders and limits help blind mothers in fulfilling the parental role. On the contrary, underestimation from neighbourhood, inappropriate reactions and prejudice defend them. They miss the information about their possibilities and where to find the information. There is a sufficient area in this field for intervention of social work.
