History of the Cotton Mills along the Jizera River

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce umožní získat přehled o vývoji národního podniku Pojizerské bavlnářské závody Semily. Jejím prostřednictvím získáváme přehled o vývoji textilního podniku od jeho vzniku, přes organizační změny a přeměnu v národní, potažmo státní podnik Kolora Semily až do dnešních dní, kdy v továrnách bývalé Kolory pokračuje v textilní výrobě pouze hrstka firem. Spolu s tím práce sleduje politickou situaci v zemi, její dopad na obyvatelstvo, podnik i jeho zaměstnance. Cílem této bakalářské práce je představit jeden z největších textilních podniků minulého století a vylíčit jeho význam pro region, ve kterém působil.

Abstract:

This study brings historical picture of the national enterprise Jizera-River Cotton Mills. This study gives u salso an overview of the development of the textile factory including its creation, organization change, transformation to a national and state enterprise Kolora Semily. Study also concerns the present of the former Kolora enterprise. Nowadays, there are only a few firms, that continue their production in the Kolora factories. This work also concerns the political situation in the country, its influence on the population, enterprise and its employees. The objektive of this thesis is to introduce one of the biggest textile enterprises of the last century. It is also important to point out importance of the enterprise for the region, in which it was established.
