Tato práce se zabývá románem George Orwella 1984 a komunistickým Československem. Porovnává rozdíly a podobnosti dystopického totalitního režimu ve vymyšlené zemi s praktikami, které uplatňovali komunisté během více než čtyřicetileté okupace Československa. This thesis deals with George Orwell's novel 1984 and communist Czechoslovakia. It compares the differences and similarities of the dystopian totalitarian regime in the fictional country with practices employed by communists during the forty years of occupation of Czechoslovakia.
