Dream and Fairy Tale in Novalis's Henry of Ofterdingen

Abstract:

My B. A. thesis deals with an analysis of dream, fairy-tale motifs and fairy tale as romantic elements in Novalis' novel "Heinrich von Ofterdingen". It focuses on intertextuality in the novel - i. e. the similarities with folktale - as well as the role of dream, fairy tale and idealization of the Middle Ages. Tématem bakalářské práce je analýza snu, pohádkových motivů a pohádek jako romantických prvků v románu "Heinrich von Ofterdingen" od Novalise. Pozornost bude věnována jednak intertextulárním souvislostem Novalisových pohádkových textů v románu tj. jejich podobnosti s lidovou pohádkou, jednak tomu, jak sen, pohádka a idealizace středověku odpovídají autorovu poetologickému programu "romantizovat svět …more
