Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the elements of Naturalism in the short stories Bahnwärter Thiel by Gerhart Hauptmann and Sterben by Arthura Schnitzlera. At the beginning of this work is characterized by literary period of naturalism, especially in the context of German literature. Then are analyzed elements of naturalism in both short stories. Interpretation of these works is based on the direct quotations from the short stories themselves. In conclusion of the work is to determine whether these works can be described as a naturalistic.

Abstract:

Die vorliegende Abschlussarbeit befasst sich mit den Merkmalen des Naturalismus in den Novellen Bahnwärter Thiel von Gerhart Hauptmann und Sterben von Arthur Schnitzler. Am Anfang dieser Arbeit wird die literarische Epoche ?Naturalismus? charakterisiert, vor allem im Rahmen der deutschen Literatur. Dann werden die Merkmale des Naturalismus in diesen Novellen analysiert. Interpretation der Werke wird mit Zitierungen direkt aus diesen Werken belegt. In der Zusammenfassung dieser Arbeit wird bestimmt, ob wir diese gegebenen Werke als naturalistisch bezeichnen können.
