Risk management of the insurance company in connection with Solvency II methodology

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá procesem řízení rizik v pojišťovně v rámci zavádění nového konceptu Solvency II, který je platný pro všechny členské státy Evropské unie v oblasti pojišťovnictví. V první části jsou definována rizika pojišťovny. Druhá část popisuje Lamfalussyho legislativní proces, dle něhož je koncept Solvency II vytvářen. Třetí část popisuje připravovaný nový koncept Solvency II, jeho cíle, tři pilíře, časový harmonogram implementace a rozbor pěti kvantitativních dopadových studií. Proces risk managementu je obsahem čtvrté části této diplomové práce.

Abstract:

This final thesis deals with the risk management of the insurance company within the establishment of the new concept Solvency II valid for the each European Union member states in insurance industry. In first part, there are defined risks of the insurance company. Lamfalussy's legislative process used for concept Solvency II establishment is described in second part. New concept Solvency II, their objectives, three props, implementation time schedule as well as analysis of five quantitative impact studies is determined in third part. Final part of this thesis is focused on Risk management of the insurance company.
