Selected aspekts of the independent kompetence of the Department of Social Affairs of the Statutory City of Opava

Abstract:

Tématem diplomové práce jsou vybrané aspekty samostatné působnosti odboru sociálních věcí Statutárního města Opava. Diplomová práce si klade za cíl stručně představit část veřejné správy-územní samosprávy, charakterizovat Magistrát Statutárního města Opavy, odbor sociálních věcí a jeho oddělení sociálně-právní ochrany dětí. Práce se bude také orientovat na právní předpisy upravující sociálně-právní ochranu dětí a problematiku sociálně právní ochrany dětí jak v přenesené, tak převážně samostatné působnosti. V empirické části diplomové práce byly stanoveny tři výzkumné otázky. Cílem bude zjistit a následně analyzovat informace, na základě kterých, bude možné navrhnout změny a doporučení pro zlepšení chodu tohoto oddělení.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is selected aspects of the independent competence of the Department of Social Affairs of the Statutory City of Opava. The aim of the thesis is to briefly introduce the part of public administration - territorial self-government, to characterize the Municipality of the Statutory City of Opava, the Department of Social Affairs and its department of social-legal protection of children. The thesis will also focus on the legislation regulating social-legal protection of children and the issue of social-legal protection of children in both delegated and mainly independent competence. In the empirical part of the thesis, three research questions were set. The aim will be to find out and then analyze the information on the basis of which, it will be possible to propose changes and recommendations for improving the operation of this department.
