Preparation of a Family for the Arrival of a Child in Foster Care for a Temporary Period

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se věnuje přípravě rodin k pěstounské péči na přechodnou dobu z odliš-ného pohledu a to z hlediska laické přípravy v rámci své vlastní rodiny a blízkého okolí. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na důležitost rodiny a její funkce, adaptací rodiny, náhradní rodinou péči a jejími formami. Třetí kapitola se věnuje samotné přípravě k pěstounské péči a k příchodu dítěte do rodiny. V rámci této práce je veden výzkum kvalitativně. Sběr dat byl realizován polo-strukturovanými rozhovory s pěti pěstounskými rodinami na přechodnou dobu ve Zlínském kraji. Cílem výzkumu je zjistit, jak se rodina připravuje na příchod dítěte do pěstounské péče na přechodnou dobu. Zjištěné poznatky mohou pomoci budoucím pěstounům, kteří o této formě náhradní péče uvažují.

Abstract:

The thesis is devoted to prepare the families for the foster care for a transitional period from a different point of view, and in the terms of general training within their own fami-lies and close vicinity. The theoretical part focuses on the importance of the family and its function, an adaptation of the family, the replacement family care and its forms. The third chapter deals with the preparation for the foster care and to the arrival of the child in the family. In the framework of this work the research is guided qualitatively. The data collec-tion was carried out by semi structured talks with five foster families for a transitional pe-riod in the Zlín region. The aim of the research is to find out how the family is preparing for the arrival of a child in the foster care for a transitional period. All the findings may help future fosters, who are about this form of alternative care.
