Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce s názvem Vznik amerických politických institucí pojednává o vzniku Spojených států amerických a o formování jejich předních politických institucí. Práce je rozdělena do pěti hlavních kapitol. První kapitola je zaměřena na historické kořeny americké politické kultury. Soustředí se na období dějin, která výrazněji ovlivnila společnost a formování politického systému. Další kapitola popisuje počátek budování systému vlády, a to od sestavování ústav, od vzniku Konfederace ke vzniku Federace. V této kapitole je také obsažena charakteristika Ústavy Spojených států. Třetí kapitola je zaměřena na dobovou interpretaci americké ústavy obsaženou v Listech federalistů. Cílem následující kapitoly je popsat proces přijímání ústavních dodatků a také konkrétní tři cykly oprav Ústavy. Poslední kapitola se podrobněji zabývá institucí prezidenta USA s konkrétním uvedením jeho pravomocí.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis titled Formation of American political institutions deals with the formation of the United States of America and the formation of their foremost political institutions. The thesis is divided in to five main chapters. The first chapter is trained on the historical roots of American political culture, focusing on historical periods that have affected society and the formation of their political system. The next chapter describes the beginning of building the government system, from the compilation of constitutions and the creation of the Confederacy to the formation of the Federation. This chapter also characterizes the Constitution of the United States. The third chapter is focused on the original interpretation of the US Constitution that is contained in The Federalist. The aim of the next chapter is to describe the process of accepting constitutional amendments and three specific cycles of corrections in the Constitution. The last chapter deals in detail with the institution "President of the USA" with concrete specifications of presidential competences.
