Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá babictvím a kmotrovstvím v českém a ruském prostředí a jejich vzájemným srovnáním. Práce pojednává o rolích a magických úkonech, praktikovanými porodními babičkami, dále o rituálech spojených s očistnou funkcí, o bytostech, určujících osud člověka a o etymologii, vztahující se k tématu babictví. Abstract:
Proposed diploma thesis deals with midwives and godfathers in Czech and Russian surrounding and with their comparison. The thesis follows up roles and magical practices performed by midwives, rituals connected to purifying function, beings determining human fate and etymology related to midwifery topic.
