Education of mother skills in neonatal hygienic care

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo navrhnout a realizovat edukační plán u konkrétní matky v oblasti hygienické péče o novorozence. Teoretická část charakterizuje pojem edukace a popisuje její jednotlivé fáze. Součástí první kapitoly je problematika znalostí matek v období šestinedělí. Pozornost je věnována také roli sestry v edukačním procesu. Druhá kapitola zahrnuje vybrané pojmy v neonatologii, popisuje klasifikaci novorozenců a správnou manipulaci. Věnuje se hygienickým pravidlům, a postupům při přebalování či koupání a zahrnuje aspekty péče po propuštění z porodnice do domácího prostředí. Empirická část práce zpracovává konkrétní provedenou edukaci - edukační proces o hygienické péči a správné manipulaci s novorozencem u konkrétní matky. Hlavním cílem edukace bylo předání a osvojení správných zásad hygienické péče u novorozenců v domácím prostředí, zvýšení znalostí a uvědomělosti dané matky. Jedním z dílčích cílů práce bylo také vytvoření edukační brožury a výukového materiálu, který měl matce posloužit jako studijní opora. Vzhledem k tomu, že zvolená matka neměla mnoho informací o této problematice, byly na základě posouzení určeny dvě edukační diagnózy - Nedostatečné znalosti a Snaha zlepšit znalosti. Edukační proces byl naplánován a zrealizován ve čtyřech edukačních lekcích. Při závěrečném zhodnocení edukace bylo zjištěno, že vědomosti matky byly posíleny a využívá je v domácím prostředí. Cíl bakalářské práce byl splněn.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis was to create and implement the educational plan in the neonatal hygiene care in particular mother. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis compiles the concept of education of mother skills and describes its individual phases. Part of the first chapter is the issue of knowledge of mother in the period of the puerperium. The attention is also paid to the role of the nurse in the educational process. The second chapter includes selected concepts in neonatology, describes the classification of newborns and proper manipulation. It deals with hygiene rules and procedures for changing or bathing and includes aspects of care after discharging from the hospital to the home environment. The empirical part of the work deals with a specific education - the educational process of neonatal hygienic care and proper handling of the newborn in a particular mother. The main goal of the education was to pass on and master the correct principles of neonatal hygienic care for newborns in the home environment, to increase the knowledge and awareness of the mother. One of the partial goals of the work was also the creation of an eduacational brochure and teaching material, which were to serve as a study support for the mother. Due to the fact that the chosen mother did not have much prior information on this issue, two eduacational diagnoses were determined on the basic of the assessment - Insufficient knowledge and Effort to improve knowledge. The educational process was planned and implemented in four educational lessons. During the final evaluation of the education, it was found that the mother´s knowledge was strengthened and used in the home environment. The goal of the bachelor thesis was fulfilled.
