The effect of defoliation of a different zone of the leaf wall on the quality parameters of harvested grapes

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vlivem odlistění určité zóny listové stěny na kvalitativní parametry sklízených hroznů. Dále je zde zkoumána problematika zelených prací v období vegetace a jsou zde i popsány mechanizační prostředky spojené právě s těmito agrotechnickými zásahy. Pro experiment s odlistěním byla zvolena odrůda Veltlínské zelené z důvodu, jestli i na takto pozdní odrůdu v našich klimatických podmínkách bude mít defoliace rozdílný účinek. Byly zvoleny 2 druhy odlistění prováděné ve 3 termínech vegetačního vývoje révy vinné. Odlistění v zóně listové stěny a odlistění v horní části listové stěny nad hrozny nám mělo přiblížit rozdíly mezi analytickými hodnotami (cukernatost, titrovatelné kyseliny, pH, asimilovatelný dusík) a uvologickými daty a dospět k závěru, která z variant je nejvhodnější. U defoliace horní listové stěny jsme také pozorovali oddálení procesu zrání a tím jsme podpořili tuto problematiku spojenou s budoucností oteplování klimatu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the effect of defoliation of a certain zone of the leaf wall on the quality parameters of harvested grapes. Furthermore, the issue of canopy management during the growing season is examined and the mechanisation means associated with these agrotechnical interventions are described. For the defoliation experiment, the variety Grüner Veltliner was chosen to see if defoliation would have a different effect on such a late variety in our climatic conditions. Two types of defoliation were chosen, carried out at 3 dates of the vine's vegetative development. Leaf removal in the zone of the leaf wall and leaf removal in the upper part of the leaf wall above the grapes were intended to give us an idea of the differences between the analytical values (sugar content, titratable acids, pH, assimilable nitrogen) and the uvological data and to conclude which of the variants is the most suitable. For upper leaf wall defoliation, we also observed a delay in the ripening process, supporting this issue related to future climate warming.
