Adaptability of new and destruction of the original small brewers in the selected region after 1990 - Šumava and Pošumaví

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je zhodnocení stavu pivovarnictví v regionu Šumava a Pošumaví po roce 1990, a dále zjištění možností dalšího rozvoje, zejména malých pivovarů. Na základě zjištěných údajů uvádím, jaké jsou možnosti dalšího vývoje tohoto odvětví ve vymezeném regionu. Svou práci rozděluji celkem do tří částí. V první teoreticko-metodologické části se zabývám teoretickými aspekty, které souvisí s tématem mé práce. V této části se zabývám historií piva, a dále představuji stručnou historii pivovarnictví v České republice a následně se zaměřuji na historii pivovarnictví na Šumavě a v Pošumaví. Dále představuji obecnou charakteristiku minipivovarů, jejich historii, vymezení podle zákona a podmínky pro jejich provozování. Ve druhé analytické části přestavuji města, kde se v současné době nacházejí pivovary a stručně pojednávám o jejich historii. V další části informuji o městech, o kterých vím, že tam nové pivovary v nejbližší době vzniknou. V tomto regionu jsem si dále vybral šest obcí, v kterých by mohl potencionálně vzniknout nový malý pivovar, a následně jsem analyzoval, zda je to reálné. V elektronickém dotazníkovém šetření jsem oslovil místní obyvatele v rámci celého mého regionu. Dotazníkového šetření se zúčastnilo celkem 151 respondentů. Výsledky šetření uvádím v návrhové části. V této části jsem rovněž oslovil pomocí e-mailové zprávy většinu hotelů a restaurací v mém regionu, a požádal jsem je o vyjádření, zda by uvažovali o svém vlastním minipivovaru. V e-mailové zprávě jsem poukázal na výhody, které vlastní minipivovar přináší.

Abstract:

The aim of my study is to assess the situation in the Brewing industry in the Šumava and Pošumavi region since 1990 and to determine possibilities for further development, especially of small breweries. On the basis of ascertained information, I state the opportunities for further development of this industry in the selected region. My study is divided into three parts. In the first theoretic-methodological part, I address the theoretic aspects of my study where I introduce history of bier and brewing in the Czech Republic and in my chosen region. Then I describe microbreweries, their history, and their determination according to the law, their characteristic and requirements for their management.. In the second analytic part I describe towns, where breweries are currently located, and their history and cities where I know that new breweries will open very soon. In this study I chose six cities, in which a new small brewery might be establish and I analysed whether its establishment would be feasible. I approached respondents using e-questionnaires within the whole region. In total, 151 people have filled my questionnaire. Finally, I contacted most of hotels and restaurants in the chosen region via emails to find out whether they might consider setting up their own microbrewery if they would know that it brought lots of benefits and residents were interested in their beer.
