Obraz americké armády ve filmu Sama Mendese Mariňák

The Portrayal of U.S Military in Sam Mendes's Jarhead
Abstract:
The thesis examines the depiction of the U.S. military operation in the Persian Gulf in Sam Mendes's film Jarhead and discusses the mental and emotional development of the main character. The thesis also highlights the themes that distinguish Mendes's film from other war-themed films. Special attention is paid to the film craft of Sam Mendes and his film crew.
Abstract:
Práce se zabývá zobrazením vojenské operace americké armády v Perském zálivu ve filmu Mariňák od Sama Mendese a rozebírá myšlenkový a emocionální vývoj hlavní postavy. Práce zároveň vyzdvihuje motivy, které odlišují Mendesův film od jiných snímků s válečnou tématikou. Zvláštní pozornost je věnována filmovému řemeslu Sama Mendese a jeho filmového štábu.
