Abstract:

Cílem této práce je obecně historický a uměleckohistorický popis zámku ve Velkém Březně při využití dostupných materiálů. Úvodní kapitola je věnovaná obci Velké Březno, ve které se zámek nachází, a rovněž i vývoji panských sídel z regionu. Druhá kapitola se zaměřuje na velkobřezenskou větev Chotků, hlavního představitele rodu a majitele zámku Velké Březno Karla Chotka. Hlavní část práce se zabývá stavebně-historickým vývojem Nového zámku a přilehlého parku. V této části práce je taktéž zmíněn mobiliární fond zámku, jeho interiéry a využití objektu v současné době. V předposlední části práce jsou uvedena další významná sídla rodu Chotků zámek Veltrusy, Nové Dvory, Kačina a Místodržitelský letohrádek v Praze, která jsou komentována z pohledu historického kontextu, významnosti a funkčnosti, které objekty splňovaly. V závěru je navrženo, jakým způsobem lze téma práce využít ve vzdělávání. Podstatnou součástí práce je obrazová fotodokumentace.

Abstract:

The aim of this Master thesis is a general historical and artistic-historical description of the Velké Březno castle using sources which are available. The introduction of the thesis is devoted to the village of Velké Březno, where the castle is located, and the development of aristocratic residencies in this region. The second chapter is focused on the line of the Chotek family situated in Velké Březno, the main representative of this family, and the owner of the castle Karel Chotek. The main part of the work is concerned with a structural-historical development of the mansion and the park. In this part of the work, the facilities, interiors and utilisation of the castle in these days are mentioned. In the next chapter, other important mansions of the Chotek family chateau Veltrusy, Nové Dvory, Kačina, and Místodržitelský letohrádek in Prague are described and commented from the point of the historical context, their importance, and functions which the objects fulfilled. The final part offers suggestions how this topic could be used in an educational process. An important part of this work is also pictorial documentation.
