Diplomová práce je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. Teoretická část definuje pojem textil, popisuje historii vzniku textilu a uvádí rozdělení textilních vláken. Dále vymezuje funkce textilu, vnímání textilu, výtvarné textilní techniky a textilní tvorbu na základních školách. Druhý úsek teoretické části se zaměřuje na významnou textilní umělkyni Sheilu Hicks. Abstract:
The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and result part. Theoretical part defines notions that concerned with theme of textile, discribes history of textile origin and presents dividing of fibres. Next defines textile functions, perceiving, art textile techniques and textile creation at primary schools.
