Hierarchy of values of children with mental retardation in older school age

Abstract:

Problém hodnot, jejich význam a úkoly v životě člověka vystupuje v dnešní době do popředí, kdy naše společnost prochází různými náročnými změnami. I když se mění podmínky a způsob života, hodnotová orientace by měla být stálá a neměnná. Naší mládež negativně zasahují problémy a negativní jevy společnosti. Do popředí se dostávají hodnoty konzumního charakteru a hodnoty na vyšší úrovni jsou potlačovány. Mladí lidé jsou ze všech stran obklopeni internetem, sociálními sítěmi, kde žijí vlastní, ale hodnotově ochuzený život. Naproti tomu reklama v médiích je stejně nebezpečná, neboť mladým lidem slibuje recept na bezstarostný a šťastný život, jak jednoduše se stát úspěšným jednoduše a bez námahy, a tak uspokojit své potřeby. Člověk si časem může přestat vážit sám sebe a přejímat hodnoty takové, které by nikdy za své nevzal, ale v současném světě nemá východiska. Chybí-li hodnotová orientace ve vzdělání, nelze se divit, že lidem chybí i odpovědnost za své vlastní činy. Ve snaze uvěřit těmto lžím spadne do pasti, která se zaklapne a často již není návratu. Odpovědnost je průvodním znakem charakteru člověka. Po celou dobu, kdy jsme práci zpracovávali, měli jsme možnost z jiných úhlů pohledu sbližovat se s mentálně postiženými dětmi a zdravými dětmi z jiných škol a zařízení. Setkání s nimi bylo pro nás obohacením a děkujeme jim za to, že nám dovolili nahlédnout do svého vnitřního světa a díky nim má tato práce takovou podobu, jakou má.

Abstract:

Meaning and role of values in human´s life has been on the rise lately and it comes forth in the focus of society. Society, which is facing various demanding changes. Although the conditions and ways of life are changing, the values orientation shall remain constant. Our youth is negatively influenced by problems and reversed phenomena of society. Values of consummation are put prior to the values of deeper meaning. Young people are from all sides surrounded by the internet with its social networks through which they life own life but very poor as for the real values. The advertisement of media is on the same level of inappropriateness as young people are trapped into promises of trouble-free and happy life without effort. They can see prosperous image and tend to become succesful as well for fulfilling the needs. This may even lead to the lost of self-esteem and people can absorb the values that they never would , provided different conditions, but in the present life hasn't way. If the values orientation is absent in education, no wonder that people lack the responsibility for their own deeds. It can even culminate in the worst scenario that a person will fall in a trap of lies with no possibility to returning back. We can consider responsibility as a circumstantial sign of human character. Throughout the whole time we have been working, we had the chance to converge from various view points with mentally affected children and also with healthy children from diverse schools and social facilities. Meeting with all of them was very enriching and we are thankful for letting us introspect in their inner world. With thanks to them, this thesis is of presented form.
