Online Environment and Its Importance in the Issue of Eating Disorders among Adolescents

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na online prostředí a jeho význam v problematice poruch příjmu potravy u mladistvých. Cílem práce je popsat, jaký význam má online prostředí pro mladistvé, kteří mají zkušenosti s poruchou příjmu potravy. Teoretická část se věnuje poruchám přijmu potravy, vývojové psychologii mladistvých a online prostředí se zaměřením na webové stránky a sociální sítě. Praktická část se zabývá analýzou dat získaných z dotazníkového šetření. Data jsou následně interpretována a výsledky výzkumu jsou srovnány s výsledky jiných autorů. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny limity výzkumu a možnosti dalšího směřování výzkumu.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis focuses on the online environment and its importance in the issue of eating disorders among adolescents. The aim of the thesis is to describe the importance of the online environment for adolescents who have experience with an eating disorder. The theoretical part is devoted to eating disorders, developmental psychology of adolescents and the online environment with a focus on websites and social networks. The practical part deals with the analysis of data obtained from the questionnaire survey. The data are interpreted and the research results are compared with the results of other authors. At the end of the thesis are presented the limits of the research and the possibilities of further direction of the research.
