Microsoft Excel 2007 and error prevention

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce je studium Microsoft Office Excel 2007 a popis vhodných postupů tvorby dokumentů v této aplikaci. Práce je strukturovaná do tří kapitol. V úvodní kapitole je popsána historie vývoje tabulkových procesorů včetně ilustrace jejich uživatelských rozhraní. Druhá kapitola je zaměřena na Microsoft Excel 2007. Tématem této části je podrobný popis zásadních změn oproti předchozím verzím Microsoft Excel - technických parametrů, uživatelského rozhraní, nových funkcí, nástrojů a nových možností při sdílení souborů online pomocí služby Excel Services. Smyslem třetí kapitoly je popis problematiky datové bezpečnosti tabulkových procesorů a vysvětlení možných následků nesprávných postupů při práci s Microsoft Excel 2007 a tabulkovými procesory obecně. Kapitola obsahuje příklady síťového zabezpečení sešitů a uvádí možné postupy a principy pro předcházení chybám a odstraňování chyb v sešitech. Pozornost v této kapitole je věnována především tvorbě složitých kalkulací a konkrétním doporučením pro postup v jednotlivých fázích vývoje kalkulace. Třetí kapitola zahrnuje také popis programových chyb Microsoft Excel 2007, se kterými se autor během psaní této práce setkal.

Abstract:

The goal of this thesis is a study of Microsoft Office Excel 2007 and efficient procedures description of documents creation in this application. The thesis is divided into three chapters. In the first chapter, there is a description of history of spreadsheets development including its user interfaces illustration. The second chapter is aimed at Microsoft Excel 2007. The subject of this chapter is the detail description of the main changes in comparison with previous versions of Microsoft Excel - user interface, new functions, tools and possibilities in online sharing using Excel services. The sense of the third chapter is description of spreadsheets data security questions and explanation of possible consequences of misleading procedures by working with Microsoft Excel 2007 and spreadsheets generally. The chapter includes examples of network security and indicates procedures and principles of preventing and debuging errors in worksheets. The attention is also paid to creation of difficult calculations and concrete recommendations for each stage of calculation development in this chapter. The third chapter includes description of Microsoft Excel 2007 software errors which author during the writing of this thesis came across.
