Cílem této práce je zkoumání městského obvodu Ústí nad Labem - město a to jak v rámci statutárního města, tak i jako orgánu samosprávy. Dalším a hlavním cílem této diplomové práce jsou možnosti rozvoje městského obvodu, jeho veřejných prostranství, jeho genius loci neboli duch místa, který tento městský obvod bezesporu má. The aim of this study is to investigate the municipal district Ústí nad Labem - město both within the statutory city, as well as the local authority. And other main objective of this thesis are the development possibilities of the city district, its public spaces, its genius loci, or spirit of the place that this city district certainly has.
