The development of the service sector and its impact on the economy of the Karlovy Vary Region

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je zaznamenat historický vývoj a současný stav lázeňství, hotelnictví a pohostinství v oblasti západočeského lázeňského trojúhelníku a analyzovat jeho vliv na ekonomiku Karlovarského kraje. Práce je členěna do tří částí, z nichž první definuje základní pojmy ze světa hotelnictví a využívá deskripce k zachycení počátků a vývoje restaurací, hotelů a lázní ve světě a v České republice. Druhá část práce rozvíjí poznatky z první části o současný stav a historický vývoj západočeského lázeňského trojúhelníku a zjišťuje vliv lázní, hotelů a restaurací na ekonomiku Karlovarského kraje za použití analýzy, syntézy a komparace. Třetí část navrhuje řešení problémů, které byly zjištěny v analytické části práce. Konkrétně na základě analýzy doporučuje propagovat lázně Karlovarského kraje zejména v Rusku a zviditelnit je zapsáním na seznam UNESCO.

Abstract:

Aim of this work is to record the historical development and current state of the spa, hotel and catering industry in the West Bohemian Spa Triangle and analyze its impact on the economy of the Karlovy Vary Region. The work is divided into three parts, the first defines the basic terms from the world of hospitality and use description to capture the the beginnings and development of restaurants, hotels and spas in the world and in the Czech Republic. The second part develops the knowledge from the first part of the current situation and historical development of the West Bohemian Spa Triangle and finds the influence of spas, hotels and restaurants on the economy of the Karlovy Vary Region by using analysis, synthesis and comparison. The third part proposes a solution to the problems that were identified in the analytical part. Specifically, based on the analysis recommends promoting the spa of Karlovy Vary region especially in Russia and visibile them by writing it to the list of UNESCO.
