Figures and tropes in work Rhetorica ad Herennium in comparison with rhetorical texts of Cicero and Quintilianus
Abstract:
Tématem této bakalářské práce je analýza figur a tropů popsaných v díle Rhetorica ad Herennium a jejich srovnání s řečnickými ozdobami uvedenými v rétorických textech Cicerona a Quintiliana. Cílem této práce je poukázat na pokus autora latinizovat řeckou rétorickou terminologii a přizpůsobit ji latinskému prostředí.
Abstract:
The topic of the bachelor’s thesis is an analysis of figures and tropes which are described in the work Rhetorica ad Herennium and their comparison with speech decorations mentioned in rhetorical texts of Cicero and Quintilianus. The aim of this thesis is to point out author’s effort to latinize a greek rhetorical terminology and to adapt it into latin milieu.
