Attachment hierarchy in emerging adulthood: parents, partners and friends

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá souvislostí mezi subjektivně prožívaným statusem dospělosti a hierarchií hlavních vazbových osob v období vynořující se dospělosti. Dále ověřuje související hypotézy týkající se vztahů mezi hierarchií vazbových osob a mírou úzkostnosti k matce, mírou vyhýbavosti k partnerovi a délkou vztahu s partnerem. V úvodních kapitolách je popsáno období vynořující se dospělosti a problematika citové vazby a její hierarchizace. Výzkumu se účastnilo 382 respondentů ve věku 19-25let. Byly použity metody ECR-RS dotazník struktury vztahů a dotazník WHOTO. Chí-kvadrát test nezávislosti prokázal rozdíly v hierarchii vazbových osob mezi skupinami v závislosti na pociťovaném statusu dospělosti. Zatímco u osob cítících se jako adolescenti nejčastěji zastávali funkci hlavní vazbové osoby rodiče, u osob cítících se jako dospělí tuto pozici zaujímali romantičtí partneři. Souvislost mezi mírou úzkostnosti k matce a hierarchií vazbových osob nebyla potvrzena. Souvislost mezi mírou vyhýbavosti k partnerovi a preferencí hlavní vazbové osoby byla potvrzena pomocí analýzy rozptylu. Také souvislost mezi délkou vztahu a preferencí hlavní vazbové osoby byla potvrzena pomocí analýzy rozptylu. Nakonec byla potvrzena souvislost mezi mírou úzkostnosti citové vazby k matce s mírou úzkostnosti k dalším vazbovým osobám.

Abstract:

This study explores the relationship between subjective adult status and hierarchy of attachment figures in emerging adulthood. Research verifies hypotheses about the relationship between the hierarchy of attachment figures and anxiety to mother, avoidance to pair-bond and relationship lenght. In the introduction is introduced the period of emerging adulthood, attachment issues and hierarchy of attachment figures. The research sample consisted of 382 respondents aged 19-25 years. In the empirical study the following methods were used, ECR-RS Experiences in Close-Relationships-Relationship Structures Questionnaire and questionnaire WHOTO. Chi-square test of independence discovered differences of the hierarchy of attachment figures between groups of people depending on the perceived adult status. People feeling as adolescent prefer parent for primary attachment figure. People feeling as adult prefer romantic partner for primary attachment figure. The relationship between anxiety to mother and the hierarchy of attachment figures have not been confirmed. The relationship between the avoidance to the pair-bond and preferences of primary attachment figure was confirmed by analysis of variance. Correlation between the relationship length and preferences of primary attachment figure was also confirmed by analysis of variance. Correlation between anxiety to mother and anxiety to other attachment bonds was confirmed to.
