Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá komplexním pohledem na jednu z nejdůležitějších institucí Evropské unie - Evropský parlament. Jednotlivé kapitoly zahrnují historický vývoj Evropského parlamentu, jeho strukturu a funkce. Zároveň popisuje jeho prostředí, pravomoci, organizaci, politický význam a postavení vůči ostatním orgánům a institucím Evropské unie. V praktické části je konkrétně rozpracován legislativní proces, význam politických skupin, vztah poslanců Evropského parlamentu k zájmovým skupinám a popis projednávání a schvalování konkrétního legislativního návrhu.

Abstract:

The dissertation deals with a complex view on one of the most important institutions of European Union-European Parliament. Separate chapters include historical development of European Parliament, its structure and functions. At the same time it describes its environment, authority, organization, political importance and status in comparison with other state bodies and institutions of European Union. Practical part detaily describes legislative process, importance of political groups and relations between members of European Union to groups of interest as well as specification of negotiation and approving of definite legislative proposals.
