Place of Industry 4.0 in Tourism

Abstract:

The advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has changed the view of technology use and the interaction of man and machine. In addition to manufacturing, the elements of industry 4.0 are also involved in services. Their implementation affects the competitiveness of businesses, they also become more attractive to potential customers. The aim of the thesis is to define the areas of tourism and hotel industry, which are directly influenced by analysis and comparison. Some jobs can be fully replaced by machines in the future, others are added to them. The main idea of digitization and robotics is to simplify work and life for people. It has an unquestionable role in transport, marketing, information gathering or automated processes in the hotel business. It brings with it many advantages as well as disadvantages, has a positive and negative impact on people. The idea of Industry 4.0 can be futuristic, but technological advances make it clear to us that it is our presence. In the future, it can be assumed that the use of machines and computer technologies for day-to-day activities will become more frequent. As a result, the services will be more personalized, employees will have to focus less on routine activities and will be able to engage with customers at a more professional level. This implies that the need for human contact and personal approach will never disappear from the tourism sector, while the demands on them will increase.

Abstract:

Príchodom štvrtej priemyselnej revolúcie sa zmenil pohľad na využívanie technológií a vzájomnú interakciu človeka a stroja. Prvky priemyslu 4.0 zasahujú okrem výroby, aj do oblasti služieb. Ich zavádzanie ovplyvňuje konkurencieschopnosť podnikov, taktiež sa stávajú atraktívnejšími pre potenciálnych zákazníkov. Cieľom diplomovej práce je pomocou analýzy a komparácie definovať oblasti cestovného ruchu a hotelierstva, na ktoré tieto prvky priamo vplývajú. Niektoré pracovné pozície môžu byť v budúcnosti plne nahradené strojmi, iné sú nimi dopĺňané. Hlavnou myšlienkou digitalizácie a robotizácie je zjednodušiť prácu a život ľuďom. Má svoju nespochybniteľnú úlohu v doprave, marketingu, zhromažďovaní informácií alebo automatizovaných procesoch vykonávaných v hotelovej prevádzke. Prináša so sebou mnoho výhod ale aj nevýhody, má pozitívny aj negatívny vplyv na ľudí. Myšlienka priemyslu 4.0 môže pôsobiť futuristicky, technologický pokrok nám však dáva jasne najavo, že je našou prítomnosťou. Do budúcna je možné predpokladať, že bude stále častejšie využívanie strojov a počítačových technológií pre každodenné činnosti. Vďaka tomu budú služby personifikovanejšie, zamestnanci sa budú musieť menej sústrediť na rutinné činnosti a budú sa môcť venovať zákazníkom na profesionálnejšej úrovni. Z toho nám vyplýva, že potreba ľudského kontaktu a osobného prístupu nikdy nevymiznú z oblasti cestovného ruchu, naopak nároky na ne budú stúpať.
