Reflection of the August 1968 Events in Czechoslovakia in the German Press
Abstract:
Tato diplomová práce pojednává o vývoji událostí v Československu v roce 1968. Hlavní důraz je kladen na okupaci Československa vojsky Varšavské smlouvy a ohlas na ni v tisku NDR a SRN. Práce se také zabývá svobodou tisku v obou republikách v roce 1968 na základě rozboru novinových článků.
Abstract:
This dissertation deals with the development of the events in Czechoslovakia in 1968. The emphasis is on the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the armies of the Warsaw Pact and on its response in the press in the GDR and the FRG. This work compares freedom of the press in both German republics with the help of the analysis of these newspaper articles.
