The economic and cultural capital of the burghers of Olomouc in the 16th century
Abstract:
Na základě analýzy inventářů pozůstalostí se práce snaží odpovědět na otázku, jak souvisely majetkové poměry olomouckých měšťanů v 16. století s jejich kulturním povědomím, jehož ukazatelem je vlastnictví knih. Měšťanské knihovny jsou popsány také z hlediska obsahového. Podrobněji charakterizováni jsou též někteří příslušníci měšťanských elit v Olomouci.
Abstract:
On the basis of the analysis of estate lists this paper aims to explain the relation between property dispositions of the burghers of Olomouc in the 16th century and their cultural awareness indicated by possessing books. There is also characterized the content of the burghers´ libraries.
