Crowdfunding as a source of funding for a company

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na crowdfunding a jeho využití jako nástroj financování podniku. Klade si za cíl vytvořit návrh nastavení crowdfundingové kampaně pro konkrétní podnik na základě analýzy crowdfundingu jako nástroje financování podniku v České republice. Teoretická část práce uvádí současné poznatky o tomto fenoménu a jeho rozdělení, představuje důležité crowdfundingové platformy, popisuje proces crowdfundingu a porovnává tento způsob získávání kapitálu s jinými zdroji. V praktické části jsou pomocí lineární regrese identifikovány faktory ovlivňující úspěšnost crowdfundingové kampaně a na základě rozhovoru s autorkou konkrétního projektu je představen způsob odhadu nákladů. Na závěr jsou získané poznatky využity k formulaci doporučení a variant nastavení crowdfundingové kampaně.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on crowdfunding as a source of funding for a company. This paper aims to create a model for a crowdfunding campaign setup for a particular company based on an analysis of crowdfunding as a source of funding for a company in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the current state of knowledge about this phenomenon and its division, lists important crowdfunding platforms, describes the crowdfunding process and compares this source of funding with others. In the practical part, factors affecting the success of a crowdfunding campaign are identified using the linear regression method. Furthermore, a way of cost estimation is formed based on an interview with an author of a particular campaign. In conclusion, suggestions and versions of a crowdfunding campaign setup are formed using the findings gained throughout this thesis.
