Causes of blindness in our country and in the world
Abstract:
Na světě je více než 161 milionů lidí se zrakovým postižením. 37 milionů je slepých a 124 milionů má nízký vizus. 90% slepých lidí se nachází v rozvojových zemích. Hlavní příčiny slepoty jsou katarakta, glaukom, trachom/neprůhlednost rohovky, věkem podmíněná makulární degenerace, onchocerkóza, dětská slepota a další. Na světě žije asi 1,4 milionů slepých dětí. Abstract:
In the world is more than 161 milions people with visual impairment. 37 milions is blind and 124 milions has low vision. 90% blind people live in developing countries. Major causes of blindness are cataract, glaucoma, trachoma/corneal opacity, age-related macular degeneration, onchocerciasis, childdhood blindness and others.
