The importance of BRICS countries for the development of world tourism

Abstract:

This work is elaborated on the current topic of importance of BRICS countries for the development of world tourism. The work reflects the increasing importance of these countries and their potential as the dominant source countries for the tourism market. The work in the theoretical and methodological part is focused on the basic characteristics and knowledge of the world tourism, which are used in the analytical and proposal part of the work. The core of the work describes the state of tourism of individual BRICS countries and uses statistical methods to work with selected tourism indicators, which are subsequently evaluated. At the end of the thesis, attention is drawn to the Czech Republic and the activities of CzechTourism towards these source countries, to which I have added my own proposals.

Abstract:

Táto práca je zpracovaná na aktuálnu tému významu krajín BRICS pre rozvoj svetového cestovného ruchu. Práca reflektuje zvyšujúci sa význam týchto krajín a ich potenciál ako dominantných zdrojových krajín pre trh cestovného ruchu. Práca v teoreticko-metodologickej časti je zameraná na základnú charakteristiku pojmov a poznatkov z oblasti svetového cestovného ruchu, ktoré sú využité pri analytickej a návrhovej časti práce. Jadro práce približuje a popisuje stav cestovného ruchu jednotlivých krajín BRICS a pomocou štatistických metód pracuje s vybranými ukazovateľmi cestovného ruchu, ktoré sú následne vyhodnotené. V závere práce je pozornosť upriamená na Českú republiku a aktivity agentúry CzechTourism voči týmto zdrojovým krajinám, ku ktorým som pridala vlastné návrhy.
