Diplomová práce Rané divadelní hry Milana Uhdeho se zabývá třemi Uhdeho dramaty: Králem - Vávrou (1964), variací Havlíčkovy epické básně Král Lávra, parafrází antického mýtu o Antigoně Děvka z města Théby (1967) a Hrou na holuba (1974) na motivy románu Andreje Bělého Stříbrný holub. Dissertation Early plays of Milan Uhde is putting mind to three plays: Král - Vávra (1964) which is variation of Havlíček´s epic poem King Lávra, then Bitch from the Town of Thebes(1967), which is paraphrase of antique myth about Antigona and The Pigeon Game (1974), inspired by Andrej Bělyj´s novel The Silver Pigeon.
