Tattoos in prehistory
Abstract:
Práce je zaměřena na problematiku tetování v pravěku. Na základě literatury je zde představen význam tetování v tradičních kulturách i v současnosti a je nastíněn jeho možný účel v pravěkých kulturách. V práci jsou diskutovány dochované příklady pravěkého tetování i další artefakty, které mohou o tetování svědčit (umění, antropomorfní plastika), či přímo souviset s jeho tvorbou.
Abstract:
This thesis is aimed at the issue of ancient tattooing. On the basis of literature, the significance of tattoos in traditional cultures, and in the present, is presented here. Its purpose in ancient cultures is also outlined. Examples of preserved ancient tattoos are discussed in the thesis, as well as other artifacts, which may indicate tattoos (art, anthropomorphic figurines) or directly relate to …more
