Product placement v Českej republike existoval už dávno pred jeho legalizáciou v roku 2010, ale až po jeho uzákonení sa ho tvorcovia audiovizuálnych umeleckých diel učia postupne naplno využívať. Je to pomerne nová a veľmi účinná forma reklamy, ktorá má výhody ako pre tvorcov – zníženie nákladov a zaistenie finančných prostriedkov, tak i zadávateľov reklamy.
