Stress Manifestations in the Process of Individual Adaptation to an Institutional Education Environment

Abstract:

Jedním z důležitých témat v oblasti pedagogických intervencí v rámci zařízení pro výkon ústavní a ochranné výchovy je problematika adaptace jedince na toto prostředí, které je možné považovat za zátěžové a proces adaptace může být spojen s projevy stresu u adaptujícího se jedince. Teoretická východiska práce proto budou zahrnovat problematiku náročných a zátěžových situací, stresu a jeho projevů a dopadů, prevence stresu atd., podobně jako problematiku ústavní a ochranné výchovy a činnosti školských zařízení pro výkon ústavní a ochranné výchovy. Empirická část práce bude věnována prezentaci pojetí a výsledků kvantitativně orientovaného výzkumného šetření, zacíleného na sledování výskytu projevů stresu v různých fázích adaptačního procesu u dětí umístěných v rámci zařízení institucionální výchovy. Realizace výzkumného šetření je součástí širších výzkumných aktivit katedry pedagogiky PF UJEP. Výsledkem práce budou strukturovaná doporučení pro možnou úpravu postupu výše uvedeného typu zařízení ve zkoumané oblasti.

Abstract:

One of the important topics in the area of pedagogical interventions within the facility for institutional and protective education is the issue of adapting an individual to this environment, which can be considered a burden and the process of adaptation can be associated with stress manifestations in an adapting individual. The theoretical basis of work will therefore include problems of stressful situations, stress and its manifestations and impacts, prevention of stress, etc., as well as the problems of constitutional and protective education and activities of school facilities for institutional and protective education. The empirical part of the thesis will be focused on the presentation of the concepts and results of a quantitatively oriented research aimed at monitoring the occurrence of stress manifestations in the various stages of the adaptation process in children placed within institutional care facilities. The implementation of the research is part of the broader research activities of the Pedagogical Department of the Faculty of Education, UJEP. The result of the thesis is, among other things, structured recommendations for a possible modification of the above mentioned type of strategies in institutional care.
