The Place of Historical Sources and Tasks in Czech and Foreign Textbooks and in History Teaching

Abstract:

Disertační práce se zabývá učebnicemi dějepisu se zřetelem na prameny, resp. úlohy v nich. V teoretické části jsou stručně nastíněna základní témata aktuální diskuze a směry dalšího vývoje v české a zahraniční didaktice dějepisu. Práce dále představuje zahraniční kompetenční modely pro dějepisnou výuku. Navazuje přehled výzkumu učebnic včetně jeho institucionální základny a aktuální relevantní literatury. Další část prezentuje zahraniční modely pro hodnocení kvality úloh. V empirické části jsou předloženy výsledky výzkumu zahraničních a českých učebnic se zaměřením na úlohy v nich. U úloh bylo sledováno několik kategorií, zejména postavení pramenů. Pro komplexnější pohled na učebnice následuje výzkum mezi učiteli dějepisu. Formou hloubkových rozhovorů bylo zjišťováno, jak učitelé s učebnicemi ve výuce pracují. Byl aplikován smíšený výzkumný design.

Abstract:

The dissertation deals with history textbooks with regard to the sources, or tasks in them. The theoretical part briefly outlines the basic topics of the current discussion and directions of further development in Czech and foreign history didactics. The thesis also presents foreign competence models for history teaching. This is followed by a review of textbook research including its institutional basis and current relevant literature. The next section presents foreign models for assessing the quality of tasks. The empirical part presents the results of research on foreign and Czech textbooks with a focus on the tasks in them. Several categories have been observed for assignments, especially the status of sources. For a more comprehensive view of textbooks, a survey of history teachers follows. The form of in-depth interviews was used to find out how teachers work with textbooks in their teaching. A mixed-methods design was applied
