Stephen Sondheim and music as the engine of a dramatic situation
Abstract:
Diplomová práce „Stephen Sondheim a hudba jako motor dramatické situace“ pojednává o úloze hudby v rozvoji dramatické situace v muzikálech Stephena Sondheima. Na konkrétních případech jsou zkoumány principy, pomocí kterých Sondheim rozvíjí děj uvnitř hudebních čísel i muzikálů samotných.
Abstract:
Diploma thesis „Stephen Sondheim and music as the engine of a dramatic situation” deals with role of music in development of a dramatic situation in the musicals of Stephen Sondheim. Principles by which Sondheim develops the plot inside the musical numbers and musicals themselves, will be examined using specific examples.
