The Island of Gran Canaria as a Place of Tourism

Abstract:

The aim of my bachelor thesis on the topic "The Island of Gran Canaria as a Place of Tourism" is to introduce the island of Gran Canaria especially from the point of view of tourism. The thesis is divided into two parts: the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part explains the basic definition of tourism and its types. The practial part deals with the questionnaire survey, examines and evaluates anwers of the visitors of the Gran Canaria Island. Furthermore the thesis describes the Canary Islands in general and focuses on the individual types of tour tourism, that can be found on the island. Based on the questionnaire survey, we created a travel itinerary for a trip around the Gran Canaria Island.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je představit ostrov Gran Canaria a to především z pohledu cestovního ruchu. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí: teoretická část a praktická část. Teoretická část se věnuje definicím cestovního ruchu a jeho typům. Dále jsme popsali obecně Kanárské ostrovy a zaměřili jsme se na veškeré typy turistického ruchu, které se na daném ostrově vyskytují. Pro zpracování praktické části jsme využili dotazníkového šetření, na základě kterého jsme vytvořili itinerář cesty po ostrově Gran Canaria.
