Plurality of Terminology and Conceptual Diversity in the Field of Word Formation. (With Special Attention to Parasynthesis and Prefixes of Greek and Roman Origins

Abstract:

The work discusses plurality and diversity of the individual concepts in the field of the Spanish word formation. The aim of this work is to draw attention to the diversity of terminology and the variability of opinions that are adopted by the Spanish linguists and grammarians(though not only by them) in describing the word formation processes. The differences are analysed in the sphere of three concrete morphological processes: regressive derivation, parasynthesis and derivation by means of the Latin and the Greek prefixes. The work also aims to reveal the causes of the occurenc of the plural terminology and different viewpoints the linguists present in their works.

Abstract:

Táto práca sa zaoberá pluralitou termínov a rôznorodosťou jednotlivých koncepcií v oblasti tvorenia slov španielskeho jazyka. Cieľom práce je poukázať na rozdielnosť pomenovaní a variabilnosť názorov pri popisovaní procesov, podieľajúcich sa na tvorbe slov, ktoré vo svojich štúdiách zaujímajú nielen španielsky lingvisti a filológovia. Tieto nezhody sú analyzované a posudzované na troch konkrétnych morfologických procesoch: regresívnej derivácii, parasyntéze a na tvorení slov pomocou prefixov latinského a gréckeho pôvodu. Zároveň sa snaží odhaliť príčiny vzniku pluralitných pomenovaní a stanovísk, ktoré jazykovedci vo svojich prácach zastávajú.
