Sport of paraplegic people from the point of view of occupational therapists

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce nese název "Sport paraplegiků pohledem ergoterapeuta" a zaměřuje se na možnosti sportu a především komplikací okolo sportu pro lidi s již zmiňovaným postižením. V teoretické části je popsána anatomie páteře a míchy, pohyblivost jednotlivých částí páteře, poranění míchy a stav, který vznikne po jejím poranění. V další části je popsán obecně sport zdravotně postižených a jeho historie, nynější organizace a klasifikace vybraných sportů. Na konci této části je popsáno, jakou úlohu má ergoterapeut u sportu paraplegiků. V praktické části se zaměřuji na práci s konkrétním klientem. Tato část obsahuje kazuistiku, vyšetření a navržení krátkodobého ergoterapeutického plánu po konzultaci s klientem. Je popsána realizace krátkodobého plánu a podle výsledků výstupních vyšetření a realizace krátkodobého plánu, navržení dlouhodobého plánu.

Abstract:

This Bachelor´s thesis called "Sport of paraplegic people from the point of view of occupational therapists" and it focuses on the sport obstacles for such disabled people. In the theoretical part, the anatomy of the spine and spinal cord injury are described and also the state caused by the injury. In the next part general summary of sport for disabled people and it is history, present organizations and the classification of particular sports is described. At the end of the theoretical part, the role of occupational therapists for paraplegic people is described. In the practical part I focus on the work with the concrete client. This part contens the casuistry, the examination of the client and the designing of the post consultation short term occupational plan. The long term plan will be designed according to the examination results and the realization of the short term plan.
