The issue of corruption in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou korupce na území České republiky a možnostmi, jak ji ponížit. Problematika korupce je celosvětový fenomén, který ovlivňuje fungování států včetně České republiky. Práce je rozdělena na několik částí, kdy v první části je korupce definována všeobecně. Jsou zde popsány příčiny jejího vzniku a členění. Následuje část, která je věnována problematice korupce na území České republiky. Zde je korupce rozebrána jako politický problém od doby komunismu až po současnost. Práce je založena na komparaci několika států Evropské Unie a pro porovnávání je využíván Index vnímání korupce, který vydává každý rok Transparency International. Po zpracování komparace a zjištění, jaké nástroje v boji proti korupci využívají jiné státy, je sestavena SWOT analýza problematiky korupce v České republice, kde jsou v příležitostech rozepsány možnosti, které je možné využít pro potírání korupce na území České republiky.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the issue of corruption in the Czech Republic and possibilities how to humiliate it. The issue of corruption is a global phenomenon that affects the functioning of states, including the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into several parts, when in the first part corruption is defined in general. The causes of its origin and classification are described here. The following part is devoted to the issue of corruption in the Czech Republic. Here, corruption is discussed as a political problem from the time of communism to the present. The work is based on a comparison of several European Union countries and the Corruption Perception Index, which is published every year by Transparency International, is used for comparison. After comparing and finding out what tools other states are using in the fight against corruption, a SWOT analysis of corruption issues in the Czech Republic is drawn up, where the opportunities that can be used for combating corruption in the Czech Republic are described.
