Anotácia: Pôvodne dokumentárne zvukové nahrávky prostredia sa v priebehu rokov vyprofilovali ako osobitná hudobná umelecká forma, v súčasnosti všeobecne označovaná ako field recordings alebo phonography. Práca sa v dvoch častiach snaží zachytiť dva rôzne umelecké prístupy k práci s nahrávkami. V prvej časti zachytáva vznik World Soundscape Project pod vedením R.M. Schafera a jeho teórie.
